Before you lose money,
test your system.

Describe your strategy, EdgeLuma tests it against years of real market data and tells you how it performed, including fees and slippage.

Right now, the only way to find out is to risk real money and wait.

EdgeLuma solves this for you. Just a few minutes, and you’ll know how it performed in the past.

Describe your idea. We create it and test it for you.

No code. No trading background. Just plain English, however messy.

  1. One messy sentence is enough. EdgeLuma asks back for whatever you left out.

You type: “BTC 1h: enter on the FVG retest, stop at the wick of the candle that created the FVG, 2R target”. EdgeLuma asks for the exchange, spot or perpetual futures, and how the entry should be placed on the retest. You answer: Bybit, futures, a limit at the gap’s midpoint. It still needs the direction — long only. It restates the finished system — long on the retest of a fresh FVG, limit at the gap’s midpoint, stop at the wick of the candle that created the gap, target twice the risk, on Bybit, BTC/USDT Perp, the 1h chart — adds a trader review that a limit entry should expire after a few candles, and marks the draft ready.

  2. Your whole system, in plain English. Catch a misreading before it costs you.

Your new system lands in My systems under “To organize”: a card named FVG retest long — New, Bybit, BTC/USDT Perp, 1h, long — beside the systems you made before. You click it and it opens on its rules: Exchange Bybit, Pair BTC/USDT Perp on the 1h, Direction long, Order type limit. Long: a new bullish fair value gap forms, then a limit order waits at the latest gap’s mid level. Stop loss at the gap level; take profit at 2.0R, twice the risk.

  3. Years of real candles, fees and slippage included. The answer is allowed to be no.

On the Backtest tab you pick the risk — 1% of a 10,000 USDT account, so every trade risks 100 USDT — choose the Bybit perpetual cost model, and press Run backtest. The report comes back marked profitable: expectancy +0.132R per trade net of costs; total result +16.2R over 123 closed trades; win rate 43%, average win +1.91R against an average loss of −1.22R; max drawdown −13.2R, longest losing streak 7. The account reading: a balance of 11,620 USDT, up 1,619.98 USDT or 16.20%, worst drawdown 1,321.51 USDT — 10.2% of peak — and a 43.09% compound annual rate.

Every number. Even the bad ones.

If a report only shows you the good half, it's worthless. This one shows all of it.

  • Fees come off every single fill. Bybit's or Binance's maker, taker and spread, taken out of each fill. Or type in your own rates and the report matches your account.

  • Losing streaks, in plain sight. The worst drawdown and the longest run of losses, printed at the same size as the profit.

  • And it's all in money, not just R. Give it a starting balance and a risk per trade. It replays the run as an account — balance, drawdown, everything.

An EdgeLuma backtest report for a system called “Sweep & Go 30m — maker entry”, run on Bybit SOL/USDT Perpetual 30-minute candles. Across the top: expectancy +0.229R per trade net of costs; total result +45.7R over 200 closed trades; a 32% win rate with an average win of +2.97R against an average loss of −1.03R; and a maximum drawdown of −11.6R with a longest losing streak of 11. Below that, the same run applied to a 10,000 USDT account risking 1% per trade with compounding: a closing balance of 15,261 USDT, up 52.61%, a maximum drawdown of −1,772.54 USDT at 11.1% of peak, and +9.70% annualised. At the foot, the equity curve from January 2022 to July 2026.
