Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the EdgeLuma website at edgeluma.com and the EdgeLuma service, including user accounts, the free and paid plans, the AI system builder, the chat, the backtest engine, backtest reports and the feedback board (together, the "Service"). The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy (/privacy), which these Terms do not modify.

2. Contact

The Service is provided by Raffaele Anagni, Partita IVA (Italian VAT number) 02195180894, under the name EdgeLuma ("we", "us", "our"). Our address is Via Niccolò Copernico snc, Coop. Lavinia, 96011 Augusta (SR), Italy, and you can contact us at edgelumamain@gmail.com.

3. Eligibility and acceptance

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By creating an account, or by continuing to use the website after these Terms are published, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, you must not create an account or use the Service.

4. Description of the Service

EdgeLuma is a research tool. You describe a trading strategy in natural language; the Service converts it into a set of rules, which are added to your trading systems only when you save them, applies those rules to historical market data and reports the results, net of the exchange fees and the estimated slippage cost of the selected cost model. The markets covered and the limitations of backtesting are set out in the Risk and Service Disclosure (/privacy#service-disclosure), which forms part of these Terms.

The Service does not place orders, does not connect to your exchange account, does not hold funds and does not provide trading signals.

5. Accounts

Each person may hold only one account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential; activity carried out under your account is attributed to you until you notify us of unauthorised use. You may delete your account at any time from the account settings.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• attempt to breach, probe or circumvent the security of the Service;
• scrape or extract in bulk the market catalogue, the knowledge content or any other part of the Service, other than by crawling the public pages of the website as our robots.txt file permits;
• resell, sublicense or otherwise make access to the Service available to third parties;
• use automated means to circumvent the usage limits applicable to your account;
• post unlawful, infringing, defamatory or abusive content on the feedback board.

Usage limits apply to every account in order to keep the Service available to all users. Deleting an account does not reset them: an account created with the same email address within 30 days of a deletion has its usage limits blocked until those 30 days have passed.

7. Intellectual property and user content

The trading systems you create, the backtests you run and the content you post remain yours. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, limited to what is necessary to operate the Service, to store, process and display that content to you and, in the case of feedback board posts and replies, to display it to other users under the username you choose for your account and, after you delete your account, without your name, marked "Deleted user". The Service, including its software, report designs, knowledge content and trademarks, remains our property. These Terms do not transfer any of these rights to you.

EdgeLuma is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or approved by Bybit, Binance or any other exchange, and no exchange is responsible for the Service. The market data and fee schedules the Service uses are those the exchanges make public. The names and logos of exchanges, crypto assets and other third-party products that appear on the website or within the Service are trademarks of their respective owners; they are used only to identify the markets and products they refer to, and their use does not imply any endorsement.

8. No investment advice

The Service is a tool for testing your own trading ideas on historical data. The AI features explain concepts and convert your descriptions into rules; any option they describe is general in nature, is not based on an assessment of your personal circumstances and is not presented as suitable for you. Nothing on the website or within the Service constitutes investment advice, a personal recommendation or an inducement to trade. We are not authorised by any financial supervisory authority and do not provide regulated investment services. Backtest results describe how a set of rules would have performed on historical data; they are neither forecasts nor guarantees of future results. All trading decisions are your sole responsibility.

9. Plans and payments

Plans

The Free plan is free of charge and requires no payment details. The paid plans (Basic, Pro and Max), their prices and their usage limits are set out on the pricing page (/pricing). Every plan includes every feature of the Service; the plans differ in their usage limits. No charge arises unless you subscribe to a paid plan.

Who sells the paid plans

Paid plans are sold through Stripe's Managed Payments service. Sold through Link, LLC, an affiliate of Stripe ("Link"), is the reseller and merchant of record of your purchase: it charges your payment method, collects and remits any tax due and sends you the receipts and invoices. Your purchase is also subject to Link's purchase terms, presented at checkout and available at link.com/terms; your use of the Service under the plan is governed by these Terms. Your payment details are entered on Stripe's pages and are never received by us. The charge appears on your statement as "LINK.COM*" followed by "EDGELUMA".

Prices and taxes

Prices are stated in US dollars and do not include tax. Any tax due, such as value added tax, is calculated at checkout according to your location and added to the price before you pay. At checkout you may choose to pay in your local currency, at the exchange rate shown there before you pay.

Renewal

A paid plan is a subscription, billed in advance for one month or one year. It renews automatically at the end of each period and is charged to your payment method on file, at the price then in force for your plan and billing period, until you cancel it. If the price of your plan changes, we will inform you before the first renewal at the new price, and you may cancel before that renewal.

Changing plan

You can change your plan from the Billing page of your account settings. A change that increases the amount charged at each renewal, without moving from yearly to monthly billing, takes effect immediately: the difference is charged at once, net of the unused part of the current period. Any other change, such as a move to a lower plan or from yearly to monthly billing, takes effect at the end of the current period, and the amount paid for that period is not refunded in part.

Cancelling

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from the Billing page of your account settings. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid: the plan remains available until then, and your account then moves to the Free plan. Until that date you can resume the plan from the same page. You can also manage or cancel the subscription from your Link account, under Link's purchase terms. Moving to the Free plan deletes nothing: your trading systems and backtests remain in your account and the usage limits of the Free plan apply, so a new backtest may be refused while your account holds more backtests than the Free plan keeps.

Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, your plan remains available while the payment is attempted again, and you can update your payment method from the Billing page of your account settings. If the payment has not succeeded after the last attempt, the subscription ends and your account moves to the Free plan. A cancellation requested while a payment is overdue takes effect immediately.

Refunds and right of withdrawal

You may withdraw from the purchase of a paid plan within 14 days of the day you buy it, without giving any reason. You can do so from the Billing page of your account settings, with the "Withdraw from contract here" function, which is shown there for those 14 days; from the withdrawal page linked at the foot of every page of the website (/withdraw), which can be used without signing in; by writing to the address in Section 2; or with the model withdrawal form below. You give or confirm your name, the purchase and the email address to which we send, without delay, a receipt of your withdrawal stating its content and the date and time we received it.

Before you pay for a paid plan, we ask you to request that it start at once, during the withdrawal period, by ticking a box that is not ticked in advance; a paid plan is bought with this request, and we confirm each purchase by email with your request, the moment you made it and this information. If you then withdraw, you pay for the part of the plan provided until you told us of your withdrawal: the amount you paid for the billing period, tax included, multiplied by the number of days from the start of the plan to the day of your withdrawal, both included, and divided by the number of days in that billing period. For example, if you withdraw on the 10th day of a 30-day monthly plan, you pay 10/30 of its price. A change to a higher plan made during the withdrawal period is part of the same purchase, and the amount paid for the change counts in the same way from the day of the change. We refund the rest, tax included, to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal. A withdrawal made from the Billing page, or from the withdrawal page while signed in to the account that made the purchase, is refunded and ends the subscription at once, and your account moves to the Free plan. If you did not request an immediate start, we refund everything you paid.

This right is offered to every customer, wherever they live; for a consumer resident in the European Union it is the statutory right of withdrawal (Articles 52 to 59 of the Italian Consumer Code), and it does not limit any right of withdrawal or cancellation given to you by Link's purchase terms or by the law of your country. It applies to the purchase of a plan: the automatic renewal of a subscription is not a new purchase. Apart from this right, amounts paid for a period that has begun are not refundable, except as required by law.

Deleting your account

Deleting your account ends any paid subscription immediately, without a refund for the rest of the current period. This does not affect your right of withdrawal: within its 14 days, withdraw before you delete your account. The account settings tell you so before you confirm the deletion.

10. Availability and changes to the Service

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". Features may be modified, suspended or discontinued. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and market data may be delayed or incomplete, or stop being available if an exchange stops publishing it. When an exchange delists a market, that market no longer accepts new backtests.

11. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Subject to the foregoing and to the extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for trading losses, loss of profits or indirect damages arising from reliance on backtest results or from the unavailability of the Service. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches Section 6, giving notice and reasons except where the nature of the breach makes this impracticable. Sections 7, 8, 11 and 13 survive termination.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you use the Service as a consumer resident in the European Union, you retain the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings before the courts of that country.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may amend these Terms when the Service changes materially. Each amendment is identified by a new version number and effective date, and account holders will be informed before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

Version 3.4, effective 20 October 2026. It supersedes version 3.3 of 16 October 2026.
